INDIANAPOLIS -- Gabriel Mejia Wick earned a Top 100 finish to lead the University of St. Francis men's bowling team to a 23rd-place showing at the 57th Annual Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic over the weekend.  A total of 78 teams made up the field.

Mejia Wick authored the 87th-best showing among the 548 bowlers with his 205.0 average over five games on Saturday.  He was the only Saint bowler to produce total over 1,000 pins knocked down with his 1,025 tally which encompassed two 200-plus games.

Christopher Bald, meanwhile, used game-highs of 254, 241 and 213 to aid in registering a 221.0 average over four games played and finish at No. 216.

Wichita State University (Kan.) led the top eight teams that advanced to bracket play on Sunday with its 8,510-pin count between five individual and fifteen Baker games.  That beat out Aquinas College (Mich.), which was 198 pins back at 8,482.  McKendree University was third at 8,312.  USF totaled 7,711 pins knocked down.

In the championship round, Weber International University (Fla.), the No. 8 seed after knocking down 8,086 pins between individual and Baker games, pulled off three upsets to claim the 2026 Hoosier Classic crown.  The Eagles got by No. 1 Wichita State and No. 4 Calumet St. Joseph before beating out No. 6 seed Newman University in the championship match.

On the individual side, Wichita State's Brandon Bohn gained the title by producing a 240.8 average.
