Men’s Golf Finishes Third At GSU Fall Tune-Up

UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. -- In its first tournament of the 2025-26 season, the University of St. Francis men's golf team authored a third-place finish among five teams with a final score of 315 at the Governors State University Fall Tune-Up, which was played at University Park Golf Club in University Park, Ill. on Thursday.

Jared Krison and Brennan Johnson turned in the best scorecards for the Saints among its five players finishing tied for 11th place among the 36 total golfers with matching scores of 76.

USF's next best score came from Nathan Lunde, who each managed a 78 on the day to place in a three-way tie for 15th overall.  Grant Siegel was eight strokes behind with his round of 85 to finish tied for 24th, while Owen Haag rounded out USF's golfers with a 98 (33rd place).

Judson University won the meet with a team score of 291.  Governors State University was six strokes back at 297.  Judson's Ryan Coakley claimed medalist honors with a score of 71.

The Saints return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at Wedgewood Golf Course as the hosts of the annual University of St. Francis Fall Classic.  The match begins at 10 am.
