SILVIS, Ill. -- Closing out its 2025-26 season, the University of St. Francis men's golf team placed 9th overall at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships Thursday and Friday at the TPC Deere Run Golf Course in Silvis, Ill.
Michael Kuchar led the way for St. Francis, producing a three-round total of 239. He was the only Saint to shoot below 80 in at least one round, which the freshman doing so in his second round on Thursday (79) and in the final round on Friday (76) in aiding him to a tie for 19th place.
Nathan Lunde posted a three-round score of 247, with his two best rounds coming on Thursday with matching scores of 80. He finished in a tie for 28th overall.
Brennan Johnson (92, 83, 84) and
Grant Siegel (92, 87, 82) were next in line for the Saints, finishing in a tie for 36th and 39th places, respectively. Johnson authored a 259, while Siegel was two strokes behind at a 261.
Rounding out USF's scoring was
Owen Haag with his rounds of 95, 88 and 90 for a 273 total. He would finish 41st overall.
Host St. Ambrose University (Iowa) captured the meet title with a 62 over par 902. That was 20 strokes better than the Bees' next closest challenger, Olivet Nazarene University, who finished at 922. St. Francis shot a 1,006 over the three rounds.
Viterbo's JJ Kaczynski gained medalist honors with his 14 over par 224. A total of nine teams and 41 golfers made up the field.
