UPLAND, Ind. -- For the second time this season, the University of St. Francis football program boasts a Mid-States Football Association Player of the Week, the league office announced late Monday afternoon. Gaining Midwest League recognition for the seven-day period ending Sept. 28 was Fighting Saints kicker/punter
Adrian Guerrero.
Guerrero earned the second MSFA Midwest League Special Teams Player of the Week award in his career after converting all seven of his PAT kicking attempts as well as three field goals, including a career-tying 42-yard field goal in USF's 66-13 victory over Madonna University (Mich.) on Saturday. The redshirt sophomore also averaged 38.0 yards per punt on two attempts on the afternoon, and kicked and recovered an onside kick, as well, in the contest.
Guerrero is now 18-for-18 on PATs and has authored four field goals this season.
