Softball Boasts Five NAIA Scholar-Athletes, Eight CCAC All-Academic Team Members

CHICAGO -- Five members of the University of St. Francis softball team garnered NAIA Scholar-Athlete distinction and eight were named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team on Wednesday when both organizations announced their 2025 softball academic honor rolls.

Putting both accolades on their resume were Zoe Ditter, Lindsey Kaufmann, Isabella Landeros, Rose Mwaro and Abby Sippel.  They were joined on the CCAC squad by Kylie Cook, Hailey Kaddatz and Kiersten Manning.

Ditter and Mwaro led the group with both graduate seniors earning each honor for the second consecutive spring.  Ditter is earning her Master's Degree in Teaching & Learning, while Mwaro recently completed her coursework in obtaining a Master's in Business Administration.

Landeros joined Ditter and Mwaro as a repeat selection on the CCAC squad, while gaining her first NAIA award.  She is pursuing a career in Psychology.

Kaufmann and Sippel made the CCAC and NAIA teams for the first time.  Kaufmann is a Radiation Therapy major, while Sippel is working towards a degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology.  Sippel was also one of only nine players among the 72 individuals dotting the league list to boast a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average.

Kaddatz, Cook and Manning completed the list of CCAC honorees, with the latter two earning their first accolades.  Kaddatz has now claimed the award for the second straight year.  Cook is a majoring in Elementary Education and Manning is a Marketing major.  Kaddatz is currently working on a Master's degree in Talent Development after completing her Bachelor's degree in Criminal & Social Justice this past fall.

To be nominated for the CCAC award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.

In order to receive NAIA Scholar-Athlete status, nominees must be a sophomore or above in academic standing, must have been in attendance at the nominating institution for one full academic year and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher at the time of the nomination deadline.
