CHICAGO -- Four members of the University of St. Francis women's basketball team were selected as some of the league's best performers after the conference office announced the sport's postseason honor roll on Tuesday afternoon. Junior guards
Tykara Harrison and
Le'lani Harris were each chosen to the ten-member second team, while
Laurelei Thormeyer was named to the ten-member honorable mention squad.
Symone Harrell was also recognized as part of the five-member all-freshman grouping.
Harrison, who also gained second-team all-conference honors in 2024, leads the Saints in five statistical categories highlighted by her 15.5 scoring average. The junior guard also holds the club lead in field goals made (158), free throws made (136), total points (479) and assists (115), while ranking second in field goal percentage (.439) and free throw percentage (.834). She is tied for runner-up honors in steals with 43.
In the conference, Harrison ranks among the top eight players in three departments topped by her No. 6 placement in total points and No. 7 recording in assists per game (3.7). She is also tied for eighth in points per game.
A second-team all-conference choice for the first time in her career, Harris was also selected as the conference Offensive Player of the Week on one occasion during the 2024-25 season. She gained a spot on the 10-member squad this winter, in part, by sharing the No. 2 spot in steals (43) with Harrison. Her 15.3 points per game, field goals made (148), free throws made (125), three-point percentage (.347), free throw percentage (.828) , total points (473), total rebounds (176) and rebounds per game (5.7) also have the junior guard second on the club.
Among conference competitors, Harris currently ranks seventh in three-point accuracy and 13th in total rebounds.
Thormeyer, meanwhile, secured her first conference postseason award by being named an honorable mention selection. She ranks ninth in the league with her .341 shooting percentage from beyond the arc and tenth with her 3.2 assists-per-game average. As a Saint, the junior guard sits second on the team in three-pointers made (60) and assists (100), third in scoring (9.6 ppg) and fourth in steals (39).
Harrell closed out the list of Saint honorees by earning a spot on the all-freshman team after coming up big down the stretch for St. Francis. After gaining a starting assignment ten games into the season, the forward has authored five-plus steals five times, including 12 in the CCAC Tournament alone.
Harrell averages 6.3 points and a team-best 6.4 rebounds per game over her 30 total contests played this winter. Her team-leading 67 steals are also the fifth-best mark in the conference, while her team-high 192 total rebounds rank her seventh among all league competitors. She has the second-most blocks (18) for the USF squad, as well.
Harrell earned CCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors one time this year.
USF will find out Thursday night at 6 pm if its season continues when the NAIA announces the 64-team field for the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
