GREENWOOD, Ind. -- University of St. Francis women's soccer player
Isabel Diez has been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, it has been announced by the CSC organization. This year marks the first Academic All-District selection for Diez.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically and boast no less than a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, while performing at an elite athletic level. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
Both a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team selection, Diez was named to the CCAC All-Conference first team at the completion of the 2025 season. She was a key piece to a St. Francis squad that produced a record-breaking 13 victories this fall. Offensively, Diez lead the league with 12 goals and 28 points, while working her way open to deliver 80 shot attempts. She was also credited with four assists for the season.
Thus far in her St. Francis career, Diez has appeared in 49 matches, 39 of which were starts. In that time, she has produced 20 goals and six assists for 46 total points. Of her 154 career shots, 62 have been on-goal.
A member of the Dean's List in every semester thus far at St. Francis, Diez is majoring in Criminal & Social Justice.
The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions – NCAA I, II and III and NAIA. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in late December.
USF improved its win total by four matches from the previous year, going 13-4-3. In league play, the Saints finished in a two-way tie for fourth among 12 teams at 8-2-2.
