CROWN POINT, Ind. --- Limited to just three shots on goal, the University of St. Francis men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference decision to Indiana University Northwest on Tuesday night at the Crown Point Sportsplex.
USF's lone goal of the night came on a
Pablo Rubio Guerra penalty kick in the 75th minute. That cut the Saints' deficit in half after Isaac Macias connected on goals at 11:02 and 50:04 on assists from Dom Bixeman.
Bixeman then authored his own goal at 83:56 to provide the RedHawks (3-8-1, 1-5 CCAC) with an insurance tally.
Both teams finished with low shot counts. Indiana Northwest totaled 13 shots to USF's 11 with the hosts attempting seven shots on goal.
USF fell to 6-5-1 overall and 3-3-1 in league play with the setback.
Notes: Rubio Guerra became the Saints' first double-figure scorer on the season, producing his tenth goal of the campaign to go along with five assists … USF hosts Roosevelt University on Saturday night at 7:30 pm.  Â
