SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- For the third time in a row,
Brandon Brodzinski topped the University of St. Francis men's golf team leader board, this time at the two day Bethel University (Ind.) Pilot Spring Invitational at Blackthorn Golf Club. The senior led the Saints to a sixth place finish among nine squads competing at the event.
Brodzinski recorded the seventh best score on the first day with his round of 75. He followed that with a 79 on Saturday to finish in a four way tie for 12th place overall with his 10 over par 154.
Brothers
John Weis and
Nolan Weis were next in line for the Saints with scores of 158 and 159 to place 18th and 19th, respectively. John recorded the best individual round of any Saint when he scored a 76 on Saturday after producing an 82 on Friday. Nolan was consistent with his 79 on Friday and his 80 on Saturday.
Rounding out USF's scoring was
Brandyn Collins with his 168 (83-85).
Taylor University won the meet with a two day score of 597 (296-301). The Trojans also boasted the individual medalist in Javan Johnson, who shot a three over-par 147 over the two days (74-73).
The Saints finished with a 639 (319-320).
