Led by Justene Charlesworth's 21 points and nine rebounds, the Fighting Saints took control early and had the game well in hand by halftime after outscoring Great Lakes Christian 27-6 in the second quarter to build a comfortable 50-16 lead at the break.  Charlesworth provided half of USF's 14 three-pointers on the night, going 7-for-11 from beyond the arc.

Also scoring in double figures were Jordan Pyle (13 points) and Josie Graffeo (12).  Graffeo and Alina Jahnke also hauled in eight rebounds as part of an overall 57-rebound night for the Saints.  They out-boarded Great Lakes Christian by 15 caroms.

Other contributors included Laurelei Thormeyer and Mia Kennelly.  Thormeyer had a game- and season-high six assists to go along with seven points and a pair of three-pointers.  Kennelly led all players in steals with six, while also recording five rebounds, five assists and five points.

Eleven Saints in all scored in the contest.

Great Lakes Christian's Mystic Striker tied Charlesworth for game-high scoring honors.  Shaddia Greer registered a double-double for the Crusaders (2-7) with her 11 points and ten rebounds.

Notes: The Saints are now 8-0 in games in which they outscore their opponents by ten or more points in the opening quarter this season … Charlesworth's seven threes were the most by any USF player this year … Graffeo's 12 points were a season high for her, while the same held true for Thormeyer with her seven points … Jahnke tied her season high of eight boards … Kennelly came into the contest with five steals in her first nine games of the season before eclipsing that total in 30 minutes on Friday … The Saints play half of their six straight road games next week when they head to Indiana for three contests.  It starts with Calumet College of St. Joseph on Monday at 5 pm followed by Indiana University South Bend on Wednesday and Holy Cross College on Saturday.
