MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- Looking to close the weekend strong, the University of St. Francis volleyball team competed twice Saturday at the Liz Hossler Labor Day Classic hosted by Bethel University. The Saints couldn't get the momentum in their favor, falling to Cumberland University and Indiana Tech 3-0.
 

How it happened vs. Cumberland University 

• USF struggled to find a rhythm offensively, hitting above .000 only in the third set.

• Desiree Anderson and Peyton Baird paced the offense with six kills each. 

• Kaylie Sippel dished out a team high eight assists.

• Cumberland hit a season high .313 in the match, led by Isabella Curcio with eight kills on 15 attempts. 

• The match featured one tie and one lead change. 
   

How it happened vs. Indiana Tech

• USF came out strong in set one, hitting .261. The Saints couldn't continue the momentum, and hit .081 for the match. 

• Anderson led the offense with six kills. 

• Indiana Tech's serving played a big part in the match. The Warriors finished with 11 aces. 

• Sets two and three were tight battles. Combined the two sets featured 12 ties and six lead changes. 

• Noelle VanOort paced the Warrior offense that hit .356 with ten kills.
