CHANNAHON, Ill. --- The number eight nationally ranked University of St. Francis men's cross country team laced it up for the first time on Friday evening, competing in the St. Francis Twilight Invitational. With ideal running conditions to run in, the Saints put up a solid opening performance, coming away with the team victory.

In total 13 runners laced it up at the opening meet of the year for USF. Omar Paramo was the top finisher for USF and finished second overall with a time of 14:53. Mark Dames, Jordan Freese, Caleb Bolus, Michael Reif, and Carlos Martinez all finished in the top ten for the Saints. Martinez finished just outside the top ten and rounded out the scoring positions for the Saints.
