University Park, Ill. --- Looking to rebound after the five set loss earlier in the week, the University of St. Francis volleyball team took to the floor against Governors State on Thursday night. Eight different players recorded points for USF as the Saints downed the Jaguars 3-0 to move to 6-2 in the CCAC.
 

Turning Point

• With the opening set tied at 11, the Saints went on a 10-3 run with four kills by Stephanie Woods to open up a 20-14 advantage that USF would not relinquish.
   

Key Stats

• Abby Lab recorded her first double-double of the season with 15 digs and 11 assists.

• Desiree Anderson finished with a game high 13 kills.

• Lily Robinson finished with five kills and no errors on seven attempts.

• Kaylie Sippel dished out a game high 15 assists

How it Happened

• The Saints had 12 kills in the opening set. USF broke an 11-11 tie with a 10-3 run. Woods powered the run with four kills. The Saints then finished off the 25-20 set win with an Anderson ace.

• USF continued the dominance in set two. USF went on a 12-1 run to take a 20-10 lead. Anderson and Robinson added multiple kills in the run. USF also had two of their four aces in the set during the run. The Jaguars clawed back into it, but Woods was abble to finish off the 25-20 set two win with a kill.

• St. Francis hit a match high .267 in the third set. USF used an early 7-0 run to open up a lead.

• The Jaguars fought their way back into the set, but the Saints would close out the 25-18 set three win on an 8-2 run, with multiple kills by Woods, Anderson, Sippel and Hannah Monfre.
