GARY, Ind. --- For the second match in a row, the University of St. Francis women's volleyball team made quick work of one of its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference foes, defeating Indiana University Northwest 25-17, 25-15, 25-15 at the Savannah Center on Thursday night.

In each of the three sets, the two teams stayed close with each other before USF (3-2, 2-0 CCAC) pulled away with 8-2, 13-6 and 13-4 runs to end the three games. The Saints also held Indiana Northwest to a .000 attack percentage.

Brooklyn Withey (SR/Lapeer, Mich.) totaled nine kills for the second match in a row, while Lauren Stefanski(SR/Plainfield, Ill.), and Peyton Baird (SO/Mendota, Ill.) handled things defensively at the net. Stefanski finished with two solo blocks and four assist blocks, to go along with six kills, while Baird registered three solo blocks among her four total.

For the night, the Saints rang up 11 blocks. They also produced eight aces.

Taylor Valant (SR/St. Anne, Ill.) was right behind Withey with seven kills.

Alexis Engst (JR/Bloomington, Ill.) and Hannah Pacheco (SO/Lockport, Ill.) split the team's 32 assists evenly.

Katie Szakacs (SR/Munster, Ind.) topped the dig chart with 17.

The Saints continue their string of four matches in three days when they face Mayville State University (ND) at 5 pm and Ottawa University (Ariz.) at 7 pm on Friday at the Sullivan Center.
