JOLIET, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis women's basketball team remained unbeaten at home on the season, cruising to its sixth straight victory at the Sullivan Center with its 99-55 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph on Thursday night.
Ten different Saints contributed to the scoring column with six of those reaching double figures.Â
Justene Charlesworth highlighted the attack with her 21 points fueled by her six three pointers.Â
Hannah Swiatek and
Shadrian McDaniel came off the bench to provide another 13 points each.
Andriana Acosta, meanwhile, authored her fifth double-double of the season with her 10 points and 11 rebounds. Other scorers included
Jorja Bolton (11 points, 4 assists, 4 steals),
Kalyn Sias-Chaney (10 points, five assists), and
Jordan Pyle (8 points, 4 assists).
Calumet College of St. Joseph's
Zariah Frierson (29 points) led all scorers with 29 points.
A 27-0 run starting midway through the first quarter and carrying to the middle of the second quarter put the game out of reach before halftime as the Saints built a 38-10 advantage with 5:58 remaining in the second quarter. They would never lead by less than 30 points over the game's final 23 minutes.
USF (10-3, 6-1 CCAC) also held a commanding 54-36 advantage on the boards over the Crimson Wave (0-8, 0-7). Â
