MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---
Pedro Ocampo and
Timothy Wade just missed placing among the top ten runners in the field at the Bethel University (Ind.) Invitational on Friday afternoon as the University of St. Francis men's cross country reserve team placed fifth among 13 squads competing at the event.
Ocampo claimed the No.11 spot among 130 runners overall with his 26:51.5 clip. Wade was right on his heels, placing 12th with a time of 26:56.
Also a part of USF's scoring were
Josel Hernandez (41st, 28:26.2),
Mikey Corcoran (46th, 28:37.6), and
Erik Tejeda (67th, 29:18.9). Â
Indiana Wesleyan University scored a perfect 15 to win the meet with all five Wildcat runners finishing in the top five spots, including winner
Eli Fullerton with his time of 26:00.6. The Saints amassed 146 points. A total of 13 teams made up the field.
Up Next
The Saints head up to Michigan to compete in the Aquinas College Great Lakes Challenge on Oct. 23. It will be the last regular-season meet prior to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
