JOLIET, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis women's volleyball team capped off its perfect 3-0 week with its fifth straight win at the Sullivan Center, defeating Roosevelt University 25-23, 25-18, 25-17 on Saturday night.

With the victory, the Saints got back to the .500 mark at 15-15, while improving to 11-5 in league play. Roosevelt dropped to 3-25 overall and 0-17 in conference action. The win was also the seventh of the season at home against just two defeats.

A solid attacking night keyed the sweep with the Saints finishing just below the .300 mark at .298. Roosevelt, on the opposite end, hit at just a .094 clip.

Lauren Stefanski authored her best offensive effort of the season with her .733 attacking clip. She converted 12 of her 15 attempts into kills with only one error. Stephanie Woods led both squads with her 13 kills, resulting in a .375 hitting mark. Desiree Anderson, meanwhile, just missed a double-double with her 11 digs and nine kills (.316 hitting pct.). 

Hannah Monfre led the USF cause in digs with 13, while Kaylie Sippel did the same in assists with 27.

The only time Roosevelt led was at the outset of the first two games. The closest set was the first set where there were seven ties, including 23-all, before a Stefanski kill and a Roosevelt attacking error closed out the match.

Down initially 4-2 in Set 2, the Saints put up six unanswered points to lead 8-4 and never looked back going up by as many as eight points at one point. USF also scored eight of the first 11 points in the third set to cruise to the victory.
