CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. --- Judson University scored on its only two shots on goal in the opening half and the University of St. Francis women's soccer team could never recover in dropping a 3-0 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference decision Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles, who entered the match in a four-way tie for first place in the league standings, registered the only goal they would need on a header by
Yetzemany Solis off a
Mireyah Macias corner kick.
Alondra Blanco would add a pair of insurance tallies at the 24:13 and 80:09 marks.
Judson (11-4-1, 9-2-1 CCAC) finished the match recording 11 total shots, six of which were on goal. The Saints, on the opposite end of the field, totaled six shots with three on goal, all of which came after the intermission.
Alexis Marroquin,
Allison Schaar, and
Nataley Salgado accounted for each of USF's three shots on goal.
Marissa Fetters gained the shutout in goal for Judson, recording three saves in the process.Â
Yadira Estrada had the same number of saves for the Saints.
