JOLIET, Ill. --- On a night where the University of St. Francis women's soccer team honored the nine senior members of its program, Cardinal Stritch University dampened the event with its 2-0 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory at Joliet Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.

Recognized in pre-match ceremonies were Martina Kotrba, Ellie Provo, Yadira Estrada, Grace Gialo, Lauren Pikulski, Mary-Kate Hynek, Kelli Pietrowski, Kassandra Cazares, and Alexa Valencia-Corona.

The Wolves (12-2-2, 10-2-1 CCAC) used a pair of goals in the opening half to gain the victory, while the Saints (9-6-1, 6-6-1) had their opportunities but were denied each time by Cardinal Stritch goalkeeper Marina Johnstone. In all, the Saints put up 14 shots with seven being on goal, while CSU had 13 of its 18 shots on goal.

Alexis Marroquin, Litzy Corona and Allison Schaar each had a pair of shots stopped by Johnstone, while Nataley Salgado made the other attempt.

Defensively, Estrada recorded seven of USF's nine saves with Provo collecting the other two.

Elena Martinez produced the only goal the Wolves would need on the night with her tally at 19:15. The guests added their second goal at 38:37.

The No.8 seed in next week's CCAC Tournament, USF will be the first team to get a crack at knocking off top-seeded Judson University. The match is slated to be played at the MAC Soccer Complex on Friday (Nov. 5) at a time yet to be determined.
