Shkidchenko's Hat-trick Leads USF Past CCSJ

East Chicago, Ind. --- Building on the exciting win on Wednesday night, the University of St. Francis men's soccer team put up six goals in a blowout win over Calumet College of St. Joseph on Saturday night. The 6-0 win over CCSJ is the second straight Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference win for the Saints.
 

Turning Point

How it Happened

  • The Saints jumped on the board in the 26th minute. Shkidchenko netted the first goal of his night, giving USF a 1-0 lead.

  • Shkidchenko doubled the Saints lead in the 30th minute, scoring his 11th goal of the season.

  • The USF lead then became 3-0 in the 36th minute when Shkidchenko finished his hat-trick in the first half.

  • Sergio Fernandez-Arango got in on the scoring action in the 49th minute, extending the lead to 4-0.

  • Kevin Verdin and Rubio Guerra also added second half goals, as USF cruised to the 6-0 victory.

  • Carson Heglund made five saves and recorded the shutout in net for the Saints.
