Gerard Weik joined the Fighting Saints in August of 2022 season as an assistant coach for the volleyball team. The 2025-26 season will mark Weik’s fourth year as assistant coach.
Prior to joining the Fighting Saints staff, Weik spent eight seasons (2014-2022) as the assistant volleyball coach for both the men’s and women’s programs at Trinity Christian College and served as the university’s assistant director of the physical plant. He also spent two years as a volunteer assistant coach at Lewis University from 2004-2014. Weik previously coached for the Celtic Force Volleyball Club in Palos Heights, IL and also served as the assistant director of program and coaching for the organization, a position he held from 2008-2020.
While at Trinity Christian College, Weik helped assist the women’s volleyball program to an overall record of 206-106 (115-29), and was a part of three Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season championships.
At St. Francis, Weik assists the program in recruiting efforts, coordination of practice plans, individual player development, and implementation of game strategies. He also organizes and oversees all team strength and conditioning training sessions.
