Claudia Hernandez joined the Fighting Saints in July of 2024 as an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team. The 2025-26 season will mark Hernandez’s second year assisting the program.
At St. Francis, Hernandez assists the program in coordination of practice plans, individual player development, and implementation of game strategies.
A three-year member of the USF women’s soccer program, Hernandez saw action in all 54 matches during the 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons, splitting time between defense and midfield positions. She authored 37 shots in total, with 16 on-goal, and finished her career with 2 goals, 4 assists, and 8 points.
Hernandez graduated from the University of St. Francis (Ill.) in May of 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. During her time as a student-athlete at USF, she was a three-year member of the USF women’s soccer team after spending one year at College of Lake County.
