DeKotah Rueger joined the Fighting Saints in July of 2025 as a graduate assistant coach for the men’s soccer team. The 2025-26 season will mark Rueger’s first season assisting the program.
At St. Francis, Rueger assists the program in coordination of practice plans, individual player development, and implementation of game strategies.
A native of Morris, Ill., Rueger was a four-year student-athlete for the men’s soccer program at University of St. Francis from 2021-2024. He graduated from USF in May of 2024 with a bachelor’s in History.
Rueger is currently working on his Masters of Teaching & Learning with a concentration in Educational Health from University of St. Francis (Ill.), and is expected to graduate in May of 2027.
