Randy Bromberek joined the Fighting Saints in July of 2023 as an assistant coach for the baseball team. The 2025-26 season will mark Bromberek’s third year with the program.
At St. Francis, Bromberek assists the program in coordination of practice plans, individual player development, assisting in training sessions, and implementation of game strategies.
Prior to joining the Fighting Saints staff, Bromberek spent two seasons (1999-2000) as a varsity assistant high school football and basketball coach for Lemont High School. Before his time at Lemont, Bromberek served as an assistant baseball coach at Danville Area Community College during the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
Bromberek brings 35+ years of experience to St. Francis after a four-year collegiate career at Western Illinois University where he earned Central Illinois Collegiate League All-Star. While at Lemont High School, he was a three-sport athlete competing in baseball, basketball and football at Lemont High School. In baseball, he was a two-time All-Area selection and All-Southwest Suburban Conference honoree.
Bromberek obtained his Bachelor’s degree in English in from Western Illinois University in 1996.
