Luke Ketchum

Luke Ketchum joined the Fighting Saints in July of 2023 as an assistant coach for the baseball team. The 2025-26 season will mark Ketchum’s third year assisting the program.

At St. Francis, Ketchum assists the program in coordination of practice plans, individual player development, and implementation of game strategies. 

A starter in 126 of 139 career games played by the team between the 2021-2023 seasons, the centerfielder finished with a career .990 fielding percentage.  In two of his three seasons competing for the Saints, he did not commit an error and was recognized for those two seasons (2022 & 2023) as the NAIA National Gold Glove Recipient.
A two-time all-conference selection, Ketchum finished his career with a .328 batting average and .414 on-base percentage.  He slugged at a .574 clip and registered an OPS of .988.  He also finished among the team leaders in hits (137), home runs (21), RBI (96), total bases (240), runs scored (108), and HBP (38). 

Ketchum graduated from the University of St. Francis (Ill.) in May of 2022 with a Master’s degree in Management, as well as in May of 2023 with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA).  During his time as a student-athlete at USF, he received CCAC All-Academic and NAIA Scholar Athlete accolades three times.  In 2020, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Social Justice & Criminology from Delta State University (Miss.) after a two-year playing career with the Statesmen.
