LOCKPORT, Ill. -- NAIA No. 16-ranked Holy Cross College ran its season record to 6-4 with a 3-0 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference decision over the University of St. Francis women's tennis team on Saturday afternoon.
The Fighting Saints (2-5, 1-2 CCAC) and Holy Cross began the matchup in singles play competition with the guests capturing wins in four consecutive matches at Nos. 3-6 to end the contest early with a score of 4-0 without doubles play needing to be completed.
Emma Deitz was the lone Saint to post wins on the day for USF with her two victories coming within her 6-1, 6-1 loss to HCC's Victoria Francis in the No. 6 slot.
Holy Cross won the other three singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 counts.
