GREENWOOD, Ind. -- A quartet of University of St. Francis women's basketball players have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, it has been announced by the CSC organization. Earning the recognition for USF were graduate senior
Laurelei Thormeyer, senior
Le'lani Harris, and sophomores
Symone Harrell and
Coryn Fromm. This year marked the third academic all-district selection for Thormeyer and the second for Harris, while Harrell and Fromm were both honored for the first time.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically and boast no less than a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, while performing at an elite athletic level. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
Thormeyer, who is seeking a Master's degree in Business Analytics, has turned in a perfect 4.00 grade point average in all seven of her semesters at St. Francis which includes her undergraduate work. She is a three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCAC All-Academic selection.
Thormeyer started 26 games for the Saints during the 2025-26 season, while producing averages of 4.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest. She secured her first conference postseason award in the 2024-25 season by being named an honorable mention selection.
As a Saint, the graduate senior guard sat first on the team in minutes played (721), second in assists (65), and fifth in three-pointers made (23) and free throw percentage (.737).
A Marketing major, Harris is both a three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) All-Academic selection. She has also been named to USF's Dean's List in five of her seven semesters at the institution.
A first-team all-conference choice this past winter, Harris was also recognized as a second team selection in 2024-25 and was the conference Offensive Player of the Week on four occasions during her collegiate career.
Appearing in all 28 games with 27 starts, Harris topped the team's chart in total points with 480, while averaging 17.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest. The rebounding mark placed her third on the club.
Harris' numbers in field goals made (159), free throws made (100), free throw percentage (.917), and blocks (16) also ranked the senior guard first on the team.
Among conference competitors, Harris finished the season ranked first in free throw accuracy (.917) and sixth in scoring (17.1 ppg).
A two-year member of the St. Francis program, Harrell has appeared in 60 games with 50 of those being starts during her career. In that time, she has averaged 7.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest, while also totaling 32 blocks and 117 steals. She was named to the CCAC All-Freshman Team one year ago, and was recognized as a second team selection this past winter.
In 2025-26, Harrell appeared in all 28 of the team's games and posted averages of 9.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest. She finished first on the club in total rebounds (179) and steals (46), while ranking third in three-pointers made (41), free throws made (36) and assists (49). Among conference competitors, Harrell finished the season ranked fifth in three-point accuracy (.398) and fifteenth in rebounding (6.4 rpg).
The award comes on top of Harrell also claiming NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCAC All-Academic recognition for the first time. A Radiography major, she is also a Dean's List recipient in all of her past three semesters.
Fromm, the team's leader in three-pointers made (77) and three-point percentage (.428), joined Harrell in earning the CSC praise for the first time. Like Harrell, she was also a first time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCAC All-Academic performer and has been named to the Dean's List in each of her three semesters while maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA as an English major.
Fromm completed her second season appearing in all 28 of the Saints' 29 games with five starts and ranking third on the team in scoring (10.9 ppg) to go along with her 3.1 boards per outing.
A honorable mention all-conference choice this past winter, Fromm finished the season ranked first among all conference competitors in three-pointers made (77), while ranking third overall in three-point percentage (.428) and was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week on one occasion this season.
The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions – NCAA I, II and III and NAIA. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced later this month.
USF finished 17-3 in conference play and 25-5 overall and advanced to the NAIA Opening Round Mitchell Bracket.
