LOCKPORT, Ill. -- Behind two wins each from
Anna Bintsarovskaya and
Heather Heintz, the University of St. Francis women's tennis team picked up a win with a 7-0 victory over College of DuPage University in a scrimmage matchup on Sunday afternoon at Challenge Fitness.
The pair got together for a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. That victory was combined with a forfeit win at the No. 3 spot for USF's first point of the game.
The Chaparrals also had to take a forfeit loss at No. 6 singles, putting the Saints up 2-0 even before starting singles play.
Bintsarovskaya claimed the first singles match played with her 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1.Â
Emma Deitz followed with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5.Â
Eva Kubilius and
Hannah Linko also defeated their respective opponents at No. 3 and No. 4 with matching 6-0, 6-0 scores, before Heintz closed out the match by outlasting Cathy Johns at No. 2. Heintz won 6-1, 6-2.
