UPLAND, Ind. -- A total of 30 members of the University of St. Francis football program have claimed Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) All-Academic status for 2025, the league office announced on Monday.

To earn the league distinction, a member of the gridiron program must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 and be no less than a sophomore academically.

A total of 303 student-athletes across 11 conference-member schools were recognized in all, including 15 players that boasted perfect 4.00 grade point averages.  Three of those were members of USF's football squad in defensive back Rob Baranowski, kicker Reid Juster and quarterback Jonny Sorensen.

Claiming the league recognition for the third time were:
Marcello Bernardi:  Senior defensive lineman majoring in Digital Audio Recording Arts
Nick Franciskovich:  Senior defensive back and History major
Rylan Heersink:  An offensive lineman in his senior year pursuing a degree in Criminal & Social Justice
Ryan Little:  Senior wide receiver pursuing a degree in Information Technology
Nick Mabutas: Special Education major and senior tight end
Anthony Niecikowski:  Senior offensive lineman and Nursing major
Curtis Reeves:  A Values-Based Management major and senior defensive lineman

Earning the league honor for the second time were:
Robert Baranowski:  Senior Finance major and defensive back
Noah Barnes:  Junior offensive lineman majoring in Middle Grades Education
Carl Bew:  Junior Communication & Media Arts major and quarterback
William Brandau:  Senior defensive back and Marketing major
Cortez Johnson:  Graduate student wide receiver working on his Master's in Business Administration
Peyton Norton:  Entrepreneurship major in his junior season as an offensive lineman
Allan Richards:  Senior linebacker and Criminal & Social Justice major
Trey Sayers:  Graduate student defensive back working on his Master's in Business Administration

First-time recipients were made up of the following 15 individuals:
Ryan Banas:  Senior running back majoring in Finance
Damian Banaszewski:  Junior linebacker and Digital Audio Recording Arts major
Aboubacar Barry:  Graduate student running back working on his Master's in Business Administration
Agsan Branch:  Sophomore wide receiver and Finance major
Nathan Choute:  Sophomore defensive back and Finance major
Seth Dabrowski:  Sophomore tight end majoring in Information Technology
Connor Engstrom:  A Marketing major and sophomore wide receiver
Xavier Gary:  Graduate student defensive back working on his Master's in Business Administration
Mason Hackman:  Sophomore wide receiver majoring in Special Education
Reid Juster:  Sophomore kicker majoring in Criminal & Social Justice
Aaron Larkins:  Senior running back majoring in Supply Chain Management
Nathan Maul:  A Radiation Therapy major and sophomore quarterback
Owen McGuire:  Senior quarterback majoring in Middle Grades Education
Matteo Pullara:  Sophomore offensive lineman and History major
Jonathan Sorensen:  A Communication & Media Arts major and sophomore quarterback
