HANOVER PARK, Ill. --- Senior
Anna Bintsarovskaya scored the only win for the University of St. Francis women's tennis program on Saturday afternoon as the Saints dropped their spring opener 6-1 to Wheaton College at Centre Court Athletic Club.
Bintsarovskaya's victory came at No. 1 singles, where she recorded a 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) decision over Madeline Gentry.Â
Eva Kubilius authored the second-most game wins on the day in her 6-0, 6-4 loss at No. 3. In each of the other four singles matches, Wheaton (10-2) yielded no more than one game.
The Thunder also swept doubles play with the USF team of Bintsarovskaya and
Heather Heintz at No. 1 providing the most competitive match in a 6-3 contest.
