JOLIET, Ill. -- Lead by
Coryn Fromm's career-high 30-point night, the University of St. Francis women's basketball team made it a Sweet 16 with its 16th straight victory of the 2025-26 season on Saturday afternoon, handling Mount Mary University (Wis.) 119-33 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
USF (16-0, 8-0 CCAC) scored the first 26 points of the contest in the game's opening four minutes, and hit its first 11 shots from the field, including six treys, to set the score at 31-2 five minutes into the game. That enabled all 11 players in uniform to see plenty of playing time throughout the contest with all of them contributing at least two points each.
Including Fromm, six Saints in total scored in double figures. Fromm paced the attack, drilling eight treys while going 11-for-17 from the field en route to her 30 points.
Tykara Harrison (8-for-9, seven assists, five steals) added 20 points to the Saints' total, while
Symone Harrell (five rebounds) was credited with a 13-point contest.
Zhane Singer (six rebounds) and
Le'lani Harris each tallied 11 markers, and
Riley Cwinski authored the third double-figure game of her career with 10 points.
Other contributors included
Mia Kennelly (seven points, seven assists, nine rebounds),
Malayah Scott (six points, three steals),
Baylei Johnson (six points, 10 rebounds),
Alainna Poisson (three points, four assists) and
Mariah Pates (two points, five blocks).
Of its 46 baskets, 18 came from long range in 35 attempts for USF, producing a 51.4 percent shooting mark from beyond the arc. Overall, the Saints hit on 52.3 percent of their field goal attempts (46-of-88) and fell just three points shy of tying a program record with its 86-point winning margin.
