LOCKPORT, Ill. ---
Anna Bintsarovskaya and
Gabriella Noa each recorded singles wins on the day for the University of St. Francis women's tennis team, but those were the only two victories on Saturday afternoon for the Fighting Saints as they dropped a 4-2 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference decision to Olivet Nazarene University at Challenge Fitness.
After Olivet Nazarene (6-5, 2-1 CCAC) won 6-4 and 6-2 in doubles action and gained a forfeit win at No. 6 singles, the Fighting Saints (1-6, 0-3) rallied to tie the match at two-all with the victories by Bintsarovskaya and Noa. The former won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, with Noa picking up a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2.
Olivet Nazarene followed with 6-3, 6-2 and 6-3, 6-0 victories at Nos. 3 and 5 singles, respectively, to claim the match.
