Bew Claims Second Special Teams Weekly Honor of 2025 Season

UPLAND, Ind. -- University of St. Francis' Carl Bew secured his second conference recognition on Monday when the redshirt sophomore was named the Mid-States Football Association Midwest League Special Teams Player of the Week for the seven-day period ending Nov. 2.  Monday marks the second time Bew has received the award this season.

On Saturday, Bew totaled 128 yards (42.7 avg) on kickoff returns in USF's 42-28 defeat to No. 7-ranked Marian University (Ind.).  One of his two kickoff returns was a 97-yard touchdown, which came just five weeks after he established a new school record with his 100-yard touchdown return against Lawrence Tech (Mich.) on Sept. 20.  Bew also carried the ball two times for four yards with and had three receptions for 19 yards.  In total, he amassed 151 all-purpose yards and accounted for one touchdown on the day.

The Saints (3-5) take Bew's performance into their MSFA date with University of Saint Francis (Ind.), who will be coming to Joliet Memorial Stadium this coming Saturday (Nov. 8).  Kickoff is set for 1 pm.
