JOLIET, Ill. -- The University of St. Francis women's basketball team reached the century mark for the second time this season as the Fighting Saints outscored Trinity Christian College 102-40 in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Wednesday evening at the Sullivan Center.
Twelve different Saints contributed to the scoring column with three of those reaching double figures.
Coryn Fromm (8-of-18 shooting) and
Baylei Johnson (8-of-12) highlighted the attack with Fromm registering a career-high 20 points with four three-pointers. Johnson contributed 18 markers, while leading the Saints in rebounds with eight.
Gabi Bednar came off the bench to provide another 13 points.
Johnson was two rebounds shy of her first career double-double, while

Amou Ring and Fromm each collected six boards.
Tykara Harrison led all players with five assists, and
Le'lani Harris and
Mariah Pates each registered two blocks.

A 17-2 run at the start of the contest that carried to the middle of the first quarter put the game out of reach from the get-go as the Saints never fell below a double-digit lead the rest of the game. St. Francis built a 49-13 advantage at the halftime break and extended its lead to 51 points at the end of the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, USF eclipsed the 60-point difference with a successful
Laila Houseworth three-pointer and extended the lead as high as 64 points when it crossed the century mark on another Houseworth trey with 1:18 left on the clock. A Trinity Christian jumper at the end of the game accounted for the final two points in the 102-40 contest.
USF (16-3, 9-2 CCAC) held a commanding 50-29 advantage on the boards over the Trolls (2-15, 2-9) with 26 of its points coming on second-chance opportunities. The Saints dominated in the paint, outscoring TCC 54-12, and also took advantage of 22 Trinity Christian turnovers, which they turned into 27 points. St. Francis' bench also outscored the Trolls' 65-5.
