GARY, Ind. - After coming up short in the opening set (25-22), the University of St. Francis women's volleyball team found a rhythm and rolled through three of the final four sets to earn a 3-2 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over Indiana University Northwest on Thursday night.
The Fighting Saints (9-6, 2-1 CCAC) secured Sets 2 and 3 with 25-16, 25-19 victories before dropping a 25-23 decision in the fourth stanza. The final score of 15-8 in the fifth frame would secure the win for USF, while dropping the RedHawks to 8-10 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Taylor Connolly collected another 10.  Anderson (15 kills, 21 digs) and
Kaylie Sippel (21 assists, 21 digs) both authored double-doubles in the contest, while
Maura Babuskow led the team in aces with two and tied a career high in digs with 17.

USF will compete again on Friday in Day 1 of the Eutectics Classic. The two-day tournament, hosted by University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy (Mo.), will include matches on Friday against Freed-Hardeman University (Tenn.) (4:30 pm) and Missouri Baptist University (6:30 pm). On Saturday, the Saints face Brescia University (Ky.) (2:30 pm) and UHSP (4:30 pm).
