JOLIET, Ill. --- Looking to knock off the lone remaining unbeaten team in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, the University of St. Francis women's volleyball team came up on the short end of a 25-15, 25-14, 25-21 decision against Judson University on Saturday night at the Sullivan Center.

Judson (10-1, 5-0 CCAC) dominated the first two sets by going up early 11-4 and 7-2.  USF (5-9, 4-2) cut the first-set deficit to three points twice at 11-8 and 14-11, but the Eagles closed out the game with seven of the final eight points.

In Set 2, Judson never led by less than four points after opening with seven of the first nine points.

The Saints also trailed 4-1 in Set 3, but rallied to take an 8-6 lead.  They would lead as late as 16-15 before Judson ran off the next three points.  USF would force the sixth tie of the set at 19-all before the guests ended the match with six of the final eight points.

Desiree Anderson tied for match-high honors in kills with 12.  Defensively, the Saints received 15 digs from Kaylie Sippel and 11 from Leah Talley.

Notes: The contest was the first in 11 days for USF and the first and only one at the Sullivan Center in September.  The Saints' last home date was Aug. 31 before going on the road for eight straight matches.  They are back on the road for the next five matches before hosting Olivet Nazarene on Oct. 10 … Sippel's 18 assists to go along with her 15 digs marked her fifth double-double of the season and second straight.  She also recorded a .400 attack percentage (5 kills, 1 error, 10 chances) … St. Francis continues with CCAC play next Thursday at Indiana University South Bend.
