CHICAGO --- Behind
Sebastian Bahamondes' two victories, the University of St. Francis men's tennis team evened out its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference record at 1-1, while improving to 3-10 overall with its 5-0 win over Roosevelt University on Thursday night.
Bahamondes teamed up with
Aidan Flores for the only victory USF needed in doubles play to secure the match's first point. They won 6-3 in the No. 2 spot. The other victory came by default at No. 3.
Bahamondes' second victory of the night came at No. 1 singles, where he notched a 6-4, 6-3 win.
USF's other three singles wins came from
Paul Wottgen in the No. 3 slot,
John Hejl at No. 5 and by default at No. 6. Wottgen and Hejl both won by identical 6-2, 7-5 counts.
The Saints are right back at it on Friday night at 8 pm when they host Judson University in another CCAC matchup at Challenge Fitness.Â
