PARK FOREST, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis men's tennis team opened the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference portion of its season Saturday night by dropping a 4-0 decision to Olivet Nazarene University at the Park Forest Tennis Club.
USF's only victory on the night came at No. 1 doubles, where
Ignacio Hernandez and
Paul Wottgen teamed up for a 6-3 win. Olivet Nazarene (2-5, 1-0 CCAC) claimed the other two doubles victories by default and a 6-1 count.
In singles play, the Tigers sealed the match with identical 6-3, 6-1 wins at the Nos. 1 and 3 spots to go along with their default victory at No. 6.
The Saints (2-10, 0-1) host Roosevelt University on Thursday at 8 pm.
