ORLANDO, Fla. --- NCAA I Creighton University ran its season record to 10-2 with a 7-0 decision over the University of St. Francis women's tennis team on Monday afternoon.
The Fighting Saints (2-3) proved to be competitive with each of their first four singles players winning four games.Â
Anna Bintsarovskaya played Malvika Shukla to a 6-2, 6-2 match in the No. 1. spot, while
Denisse Lizano at No. 2 and
Gabriella Noa at No. 3 played to 6-1, 6-3 contests.Â
Lieke Coenen fell in her second set 6-4 after dropping her first set 6-0 in the No. 4 slot.
Creighton won the other two singles matches by 6-0, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-0 counts.
In doubles play, none of the St. Francis teams could claim more than one game in falling, 6-1, 6-1 and 6-0. Â
The Saints have a busy day on Tuesday taking on Warner University at 11:30 am and Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.) at 6:30 pm.
