Saints Get Back To .500 With 6-1 Win Over Rose-Hulman

LOCKPORT, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis women's tennis team is back to .500 at 6-6 after claiming its second win in as many days with its 6-1 victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Ind.) on Sunday afternoon at Challenge Fitness.

Anna Bintsarovskaya and Gabriella Noa were the key forces behind the victory with their second straight perfect day.  Both were dominant in their two performances.  Noa yielded just one game on the day between her two matches, while Bintsarovskaya dropped just three games.

Noa combined with Denisse Lizano for a 6-0 win in the No. 2 doubles slot before delivering a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles.  Bintsarovskaya won with Lieke Coenen 6-1 and solo 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot in both matches.

Coenen joined the pair in winning twice on the day.  Her other victory came at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-3.

Heather Heintz and Viyaleta Hordzich provided the other two victories for USF, both in singles action.  Heintz worked her way back from a 6-2 first-set loss with 6-1, 1-0 (11-9) wins at No. 4, while Hordzich had an easy go-of-it in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5.

The Saints conclude their run of four-matches-in-four-days on Monday when they host Bethel University (Ind.) at 12:30 pm.
