DAVENPORT, Iowa ---
Nikkie Christansen was perfect and
Maria Kuzminskaya was near perfect as the University of St. Francis women's tennis team got back to .500 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a 4-0 victory over St. Ambrose University on Friday afternoon. The Saints are now 2-2 in the league and 7-10 overall.
Christiansen and
Gabriella Noa did not allow a point in their No.2 doubles match to open play on Friday and then Christiansen went on to win her No.2 singles match 6-0, 6-0.
Kuzminskaya had a similar route to her two wins. The only game she dropped came at No.1 doubles with
Denisse Lizano. Like Christiansen, she then went on to win 6-0, 6-0 at No.3 singles.
Lizano joined Christiansen and Kuzminskaya in the two win club by closing out the match with her 6-3, 6-1 victory in the No.1 singles slot.
Michelle Robert and
Kiana Sikich enabled the Saints to sweep doubles play with their 6-3 win in the No.3 slot.
