DAVENPORT, Iowa --- The University of St. Francis men's tennis team posted its second shutout of the season with its 4-0 victory over St. Ambrose University on Friday afternoon. Notching a pair of wins each were
Sebastian Bahamondes,
Daniel Espinosa, and
Paul Wottgen.
Espinosa posted the first victory of the day when he teamed up with
Martin Rayos Del Sol in the No.2 slot. They landed the easiest of the three doubles wins by USF with their 6-1 victory.
Wottgen and
Aidan Flores followed with a 7-5 win at No.3, while Bahamondes and
Erwan Le Guennec outlasted St. Ambrose's No.1 team 7-6 (7-5).
Wottgen gave the Saints (4-14, 2-3 CCAC) a 2-0 lead with his 6-2, 6-0 victory at No.4 singles. Espinosa followed with his second win, a 6-1, 6-3 decision in the No.3 spot.
Bahamondes then wrapped up the day with his 6-2, 6-3 victory at No.1.
