LOCKPORT, Ill. --- Yashleen Kheterpal provided the only victory on the day for the University of St. Francis women's tennis team when the Saints went up against NCAA II and neighboring rival Lewis University on Thursday afternoon at Challenge Fitness. The latter gained a 6-1 decision over USF (5-8).

Kheterpal outlasted Sophie Davis at No.6 singles. After the two players split their first two sets by identical 6-4 counts, Kheterpal claimed the victory with a 10-7 win in the third set tie breaker.

Maria Kuzminskaya was the next closest Saint to win in singles play, dropping a 6-3, 6-4 decision.

Lewis (8-3) opened the match by sweeping all three doubles matchups. The Flyers won 6-1, 6-3 and 6-2 between the three sets.
