LOCKPORT, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis women's tennis team opened its 2022 spring campaign by dropping a 5-0 decision to NCAA I Chicago State University on Sunday afternoon.

Chicago State (3-5) opened the match by winning all but two games among its three doubles matches. The Cougars won the three contests by 6-2, 6-0 and 6-0 counts.
In singles action, Chicago State claimed victory at the Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 5 slots.

Yashleen Kheterpal captured the only set on the day for the Saints (0-1) at No.6 singles. She won the first set 7-6 (7-4) before the match was suspended.

At No.1 singles, Denisse Lizano was tied 3-3 in the second set when play was halted. She dropped the first set 6-0.
