PARK FOREST, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis women's tennis team saw its two-match winning streak come to an end on Saturday, dropping a 6-1 decision to NCAA II Purdue University Northwest at the Park Forest Tennis & Health Club.
Making her season debut,
Gabriella Noa secured the Saints' only win on the afternoon. She defeated Salma Raslan 7-5, 6-4 at No.4 singles.
The majority of USF's other singles matches were also competitive, including
Maria Kuzminskaya at No.3. She rallied to force a third set before falling 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
Among the other singles matches,
Nikkie Christansen dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision at No.2, while
Denisse Lizano fell at No.1, 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles play, Purdue Northwest (4-4) won 6-2, 6-2 and 6-1.

The Saints (2-3) take the next seven days off before returning to action next Saturday (Feb. 26) when they host Wisconsin Lutheran College. The match is slated for a 3:30 pm start at Challenge Fitness.
