CHICAGO --- The University of St. Francis football program played its part in the Mid-States Football Association setting a new record with 344 student athletes being named to the 2021 MSFA All-Academic Team. The Saints boasted 25 selections when the honorees were named earlier this week.

To be eligible for the award, student athletes must have a 3.25-or-higher cumulative grade point average and be at least a sophomore in academic standing.
The record number of inclusions surpassed last year's high water mark of 292 recipients.
The Saints gained a share of the MSFA Midwest League title by going 6-1 in conference play this past fall. Overall, they were 6-3. The six regular season wins were the most since the 2015 campaign when USF won eight games. The six MSFA victories were the most since 2011 when that team also went 6-1 in the league.
