JOLIET, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis women's soccer team scored its second straight 5-0 victory on Saturday afternoon as five different Saints scored and another three provided assists on Senior Day in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph on Busey Bank Field at Joliet Memorial Stadium.
The win also marked the fifth shutout of the season for USF (8-2-1, 4-1-1 CCAC), all of which have come in the last six contests for the Saints.
Four of the goals came in a 13-minute span, but that was after
Alexis Marroquin tallied the only goal that mattered in the 27th minute on an assist from
Mia Ocana. The other first-half goal came off the foot of
Valeria Valles-Garcia with less than three minutes to play before halftime.Â
Azucena Diaz provided the pass on that score.
USF's other three goals all happened in less than a five-minute span of time.Â
Nataley Salgado started the flurry at 50:48 with
Litzy Mendez and
Andrea Aguirre also scoring by the 55:10 mark. Salgado and Aguirre also provided assists in that run as did
Hailey Bartlaga.Â

Krystal Rodriguez nor backup
Kadixamayrin Mireles had any activity in goal as Calumet St. Joseph (1-7, 0-5) did not attempt any shots. On the opposite end, the Saints put up 30 shots with nine being on goal.

Emma Rosales, who made their first appearances of the season … The Saints remained unbeaten at home with Saturday's win. They are now 5-0-1 at Joliet Memorial Stadium ... Ixchel Pelayo … With her 78-plus minutes of scoreless play on Saturday, Rodriguez took over the conference lead in goals-against average (0.92), while maintaining her top spot in save percentage (.836) …The Saints host league frontrunner Olivet Nazarene University on Tuesday night at 7 pm.   Â
