Pyle Hits The 1,000-Point Milestone, Saints Cruise 83-62

JOLIET, Ill. --- Jordan Pyle tied for game high scoring honors with 21 points, including registering her 1,000 collegiate point, and the University of St. Francis women's basketball team jumped on top of Cardinal Stritch University early en route to an 83-62 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory at the Sullivan Center on Saturday afternoon.

Pyle, who needed 14 points to hit the milestone, collected 11 of those in the opening quarter when the Saints opened up an 18-point lead. The other three came on a three pointer with 8:45 remaining in the second quarter. The senior center connected all afternoon long, going 8-for-10 from the field with four three pointers in five attempts. She also tallied five rebounds.

Pyle was one of four St. Francis players to deliver at least three treys with the other three being Braxtin Mickens (17 points, 6 rebounds), Jorja Bolton (9 points, 5 rebounds), and Justene Charlesworth (9 points, 6 rebounds). Hannah Swiatek, meanwhile, came off the bench to total 11 points and five assists.

Kalyn Sias-Chaney provided a career high nine assists.

The Saints (13-5, 10-1 CCAC) scored 14 of the game's first 16 points and never looked back leading by no less than 16 points from late in the first quarter to the end of the contest. Their biggest lead of 28 points came midway through the third quarter.

USF used its 15 three pointers and a 24-4 scoring advantage in points off turnovers to score the 21-point victory. The Saints also shot 47 percent from the field (31-of-66) and committed a season low six turnovers on the afternoon.

Cardinal Stritch's Ella Diny tied Pyle for game high scoring honors with her 21 points coming off the bench on an identical 8-of-10 shooting from the field as that of Pyle. The Wolves (3-12, 1-8) also gained 11 points from Camry Dillie.
