ELGIN, Ill. --- Unable to get on track from the start of the match, the University of St. Francis women's volleyball team was defeated in the minimum three sets for the first time this season, dropping a 25-11, 25-20, 25-20 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) decision to Judson University on Tuesday night.
Â
The setback was the second in as many league contests for the Saints, who slipped to 5-4 overall and 2-2 in league play.
Â
USF's offensive attack was non-existent all night as the Saints committed 22 errors opposite only 20 kills in 101 chances (-.020 percent). Brooklyn Withey (Lapeer, Mich.) was the only Saint to record more than four kills, providing nearly half of the offense with her nine kills.
Â
The Eagles' Mackenzie Ebert led all players with 13 kills.
Â
Judson (5-7, 3-3 CCAC) ran off 16 of the final 21 points to rout the Saints in the first set. In Set 2, the Eagles used a closing 10-6 run to turn a tight 15-14 game into the five-point win. The Saints also found themselves in a 14-8 hole in Set 3, one that they could never recover from in again falling by five points to end the match.

USF will look to get back on track Saturday night at 7 pm when it faces defending league champion Trinity Christian College at the Sullivan Center. Â Â Â
