Mike Kaddatz joined the Fighting Saints in September of 2024 as an assistant coach. The 2025-26 season will mark Kaddatz’s second year as assistant coach.
At St. Francis, Kaddatz assists the program in coordination of practice plans, individual player development, assisting in training sessions, and implementation of game strategies.
Prior to joining the Fighting Saints staff, Kaddatz has served as a head coach in various sports at the high school level in the states of Wisconsin, Georgia and Arizona winning numerous state championships. While coaching at Desert Vista High School (Ariz.), he compiled a total of 208 wins in 11 years and helped lead the softball team to the playoffs every year he was at the helm.
Kaddatz has helped over 120 student-athletes get recruited to the next level. He specializes in hitting instruction and has helped develop numerous collegiate athletes competing at all levels. The teams Kaddatz has coached have a lifetime average of .338 with 247 homeruns. His teams were always above the national level every year in all aspects. Coach Kaddatz stresses to his players that “hitting is a mentality”.
Alongside coaching within the high school ranks, Kaddatz has also been the head coach at all levels (12u-18u Gold) for the past 12 years with the L'il Saints Fastpitch Club in Arizona taking them all over the United States and qualifying to compete in numerous National Championships.
As a player, Kaddatz played baseball in high school as a catcher earning All-State honors. He attended Carthage College (Wis.) before joining the United States Army where he played on the All-Army Softball Team and represented the United States in Japan.
Kaddatz graduated Summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in criminology.
